Events

Each year the Quinn Scholarship hosts two events: a Dinner Dance and Golf Tournament. These events bring supporters of the Scholarship together from all around Massachusetts to remember Lt. Quinn, celebrate the Quinn Scholar, and raise the funds necessary to continue perpetuating Lt. Quinn's legacy.

Dinner Dance

About the Dinner Dance

Each April the Quinn Scholarship holds an annual Dinner Dance to both remember Lt. Quinn and celebrate the newest Quinn Scholar. This rewarding event has been held since its first celebration in 1970, when it was held Memorial Hall on Green Street. Today the event is held at the Charlestown Knights of Columbus, and welcomes everyone who wishes to support the Scholarship while dancing the night away. Highlights of the night include dinner, dancing, remarks from the Quinn Scholar, the Scholarship Committee, and elected officials. The evening is capped off each year by a keynote address from a Marine General (many of whom go on to become household names, such as General Joseph F. Dunford Jr. and General John F. Kelly)
